The Story Behind Front Porch
Welcome to my favorite place: my front porch.
A word from our founder

I've always been a storyteller and grew up surrounded by others who loved to share their stories. Growing up in a rural setting, I met the most interesting characters and had the most fascinating conversations on a front porch.
I’m a lawyer by profession, but a writer at heart. My front porch is the place where I feel most at home and where I spend days reading, reflecting, and writing. This porch, which wraps around my old farmhouse, sits within sight of where my first ancestors settled around 1835. Here is where my heart truly resides; where my family told their own stories for generations, some of which persist nearly two hundred years later.
I’ve always wanted to create an independent publisher that feels like this porch; a place where authors can write for hours, share their stories, and keep this rich and fascinating tradition alive; a place where readers can enjoy great books and get inspired by the power and emotion of words.
